Westerfolds began as the Templestowe Swim School by the Kemp family in the 1950’s. As the pool became a success, Ray Kemp proceeded to build squash courts behind the pool during the late 50’s and 60’s. Still a family owned and operated business, the Templestowe Swim School was purchased by Ian Kent in 1994 from DeLucas and was developed into the super site it is today, with multiple facilities including a renovated pool, 8 Squash courts, function room, gym, cafe, day spa and child care centre. Ian’s daughters run the business onsite and will endeavour to continue the family tradition into the future for the various Westerfolds venues.
Westerfolds is now the go-to place for Swimming, Squash, and Racquetball in Melbourne.
Our Templestowe location has a Swim School providing lessons for all children starting from 6 months of age, 8 brilliant Squash and Racquetball courts providing casual court hire, pennant teams, and a world-class junior program. The center stocks a huge range of racquets, shoes, goggles, bathers, and accessories, we can meet all of your equipment needs for the pool and court.
We also have a function space to cater for your events for up to 110 people.
Our newest swim school is located within Goodlife Armadale and offers classes for 4 year olds up to adults. The 22.5 meter long indoor pool caters for group and private classes.
